Quileute Nation

We started in May and I feel like we haven't stopped and all of June is going to be busy too. Tracy left on Thursday to head to Las Vegas to visit family and we got up early Friday morning to get ready to leave with Holley, James and Grant to go to the Quileute Nation Reservation. They have an Oceanside Resort there that is amazing. We stayed in a two bedroom condo that had these huge windows overlooking the ocean. I learned how to use the panoramic feature on our camera so I could take a photo of the view we had:

It looks a little odd because you have to line up the picture just right, and of course I didn't do that, but you can see our huge windows and all of the white is ocean. This picture doesn't do it justice, it was amazing. We went hiking and walking on the beach, didn't have enough wind to fly our kites (I know, hard to believe), and although we didn't have beautiful weather, it definitely didn't rain as much as we thought it was going to, and we did have sun breaks now and then. It was a great temperature, especially for hiking and running. Here are a few more pictures:

All of us at Marymere Falls, our first hike. This is all of us hiking back from Second Beach.A view from the hike of the rocks around Second Beach. The boys climbing rocks, the other side of this rock was sort of smooth like a slide, so they would climb up and slide down. Holley, James and Grant. This picture of us is not as great but the view is amazing isn't it?The kids on our hike to Second Beach.Ayden actually walked quite a ways on her own, especially considering she is only 15 months old!The boys found all kinds of fun hidey-holes to check out.Sunset our first night there.

We had a great time, and if you ever get the chance to visit, do so. Just know that there is one restaurant in town and on Saturday when we decided to go, it was closed. Forks is the next biggest town and we had one terrible meal there (if you should decide to go, get in touch and I will tell you the specific place) and one ok meal. So the lesson is, bring food.
