The Smelt Run 2010 saw a lot of us running. All of the Stellers and Wymans ran, plus Sarah!
Here are Ayden and Tate with numbers on ready to run in the kid's dash.

At the starting line!

Go kids go!! You can see Grant in the yellow and Tate and Ayden running with Andy.

Go! Run! Go!

Two victorious Smelt Run participants! Way to go Ayden and Tate!

Their finish reward: a smelt fish and a ribbon.

After the kid's dash it was time for all the rest of us to run. You can see Andy and James in the front, Holley is in the middle and Sarah and I are way at the back.

Off we go!

We have very few pictures here of us because of a lack of camera workers so here are the couple that we have: James finishing third and second in his age division after running the 5k with a time of 17:18. Way to go James!

And of course the two pregnant ladies coming in dead last, both of us with a time of 48:32 (but at least we finished!). I was definitely the slow one. I could only run a VERY small portion and had to power walk the rest of it. Boy was I sore for the rest of the day!

Although we didn't get a running finish picture we did a triumphant picture of the winner of the Smelt Run 10k: Andy!! He did it with a time of 34:08! Great job Andy! (Just think: he ran twice as far as Sarah and I did and finished 14 minutes faster!)

Unfortunately Holley is the one who got left out of pictures this time!!! :( Poor Holley! She ran a great race though, and that's what REALLY counts!! She ran the 5k in 27:25. Great job Holley!!!
Thanks must go to our support crew who helped make this race possible: Andy's mom, Heidi and John! Thanks to you all for supporting us in our crazy need to run more races. :)
After running the race, Holley took Sarah and I to San Juan Island for a much needed break. We had a great time just relaxing, walking where we wanted (for me that was very, very slowly), and going into shops. We had beautiful weather and a three hour breakfast!! So wonderful! Thank you Holley for a great gift.

Congratulations to Tate & Ayden for doing a great job in the race. I love your ribbons & smelt fish ;) Congrats to #1, Andy. Big congrats to the pg women (don't know how you do it, but keep up the good work.) And the comment about Andy doing better than you...remember who got the kids ready, breakfast made, car packed and he certainly had the advantage of not carrying an extra little package like you had to.
So glad you make these races a family thing. Can't wait to see if your pushing a stroller or just carrying the little one in the next race.
Great job everyone. You do have to consider that the extra person you're carring has a little do with your time & distance. ( I admire you for even doing something like this.)
Cute pics of the kids. The one with Tate & his smelt reminds me of a fisherman just getting off the boat with his catch ;)
